Resting Bodies
I had been exploring the concept of rest for some months when Studio Bavl invited me to
work on a collaborative piece.
The idea was to have 6 artists paint 6 similarly built pieces in their individual styles. After which
Studio Bavl organized an auction for all the pieces. Working on this piececreated by Ansh Baid,
gave me the opportunity to dive deeper into the concept of resting bodies
and the various forms they may take.
I worked on multiple versions of these forms prior to working on this collaboration. With media
ranging from rough sketches to animated films. When I got the foundation woodwork I had to
take the time to map its shape out and build a design the accentuated its features,
by diving the frame in a balanced manner.
